Peter Piper packed a pint of pickled peppers, peppered pickles and a pound of pimento to place on a burger, and the Pickled Pimento Burger was born.

At the end of March we participated in the Fort Worth Food & Wine Festival‘s Burgers, Brews and Blues event. The event brought together 11 restaurants serving up their best mini burger and 22 craft breweries pouring two beers. With 1300 people coming through the gates it is obvious that this event is a hit among Fort Worthians. We really love this event too and had a great time meeting so many of you while serving you our burger “It’s Peanut Butter Jammy Time”! If you don’t get the name, just watch this video. The burger combined Far Out South Texas strawberry/jalapeno jam, a Far Out peanut butter satay sauce, Cold Springs Farm arugula, bacon, American cheese, and cream cheese together with our Far Out patty and Far Out bun (sidenote: Far Out means we made it from scratch). Our burger didn’t bring home the people’s choice award, but we did get a lot of your votes! Thank you for expanding your burger minds and trying our burger. We look forward to next year’s event!

Man does time fly. Almost a year ago Far Out Burger was having it’s first ever service at the Cold Springs Farm CSA. We offered a burger with persimmon jam on top and didn’t know what to expect, but we pleasantly surprised to find that people were at least willing to try it. Little did we know, that first burger would still be considered one of our best by our regular customers. Well the persimmons are plump again and we are excited to announce that we will be bringing back the To The Max! Burger this Saturday at the Cold Springs Farm CSA. The To The Max! Burger starts with our Far Out Patty and is topped with crunchy watercress, bacon, Ossau-Iraty cheese and Far Out persimmon jam squished between a Far Out bun. Come join us from 11-1 at 3309 W. 4th St. in Fort Worth to get this jammin’ burger.
As the seasons begin to shift we wanted to pay tribute to some of our favorite summer vegetables while they are still around. The best place in Fort Worth, if not the world, to get your veggies is from Cold Springs Farm CSA and we are excited to announce that this Saturday we will be serving a burger utilizing as much of their great local produce as possible. The Farm2Burger starts with our Far Out Patty and is topped with fresh spinach, grilled corn and sweet bulb onions, a sweet and savory Far Out tomato jam, bacon and white American cheese squished between a Far Out bun. Come join us from 11-1 at 3309 W. 4th St. in Fort Worth to get the best of summer before it fades away.
If you don’t already have plans for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, we highly recommend and encourage you to check out the Clearfork Music Fest on Saturday, August 30th from 11am – 11:30pm. They’ll have 23 bands playing on three different stages throughout the day, and will have plenty of craft breweries and tasty food vendors there to quench your thirst and satisfy just about any craving. For those of you who tend to crave big, juicy burgers, we’ve got you covered. Far Out Burger will be there offering two burgers to choose from – although we recommend double-fisting it and chowing down on both, preferably whilst rocking out to our fave featured band, the We’rewolves.
Saturday’s Far Out Burger selections will be the infamous Groovy Burger and a special Hatch Burger. The Groovy Burger features a Far Out (that means house-made) patty topped with a slathering of caramelized onions, melty American cheese, and a Far Out ketchup/aioli, all stacked between a freshly baked Far Out bun. The Hatch Burger features a Far Out patty topped with Swiss cheese, roasted Hatch chiles and diced mango, crispy bacon, and a Far Out basil pesto in between our delectable Far Out bun.
We’ll also have a few Far Out t-shirts to sell at this event – don’t miss your chance to snatch one of these and look as awesome as we do. See you there!

This burger is perfectly stacked, starting with our infamous Far Out patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, Ugly Pug caramelized onions (yes, onions caramelized with beer), applewood smoked bacon and our Far Out BBQ sauce between a freshly baked Far Out bun. But that’s not all – we’ll also be including a side of Far Out pickles (regular or spicy) sourced from our favorite local farm, Cold Springs Farm. You don’t want to miss this!
